Here's the $300 dreadnought that i abuse.  Completely straight neck.

This is the EF-500 that sits in a case with loose strings.  Early stages of neck twist.

This is the EF-500 that i keep tuned a half step down and ready to play.  Neck twist to the point of multiple dead spots.
 
If i'd had somebody else in the room i could've held a straight edge along the board (guitars are upright on a stand), but still even just from these pictures you can totally see the roller coaster below the B & E strings.  These guitars aren't even four years old yet.  This just should not happen on a $900 guitar.

The other thing this illustrates is something i've heard since i was in my late teens: don't buy (acoustic) guitars that are from the same factory less than a few months apart (time of production).  I didn't have a choice in this one and it is something i *did* worry about.
