Music Gear Review - Guitar Strings, pricing

Cost has a bit to do with the guitar strings that i try out, and it has alot to do with which strings i buy on a regular basis.  Online prices are almost always the best, but they can fluctuate quite a bit depending on the brand so you have to just keep checking to get the best price.
EXAMPLE:
Today (11/9/07) i paid $3.99/set for the Electro-Harmonix NIC10 strings i use (musiciansfriend.com);but just a few days ago they were $4.99.  That's a pretty big difference; i wouldn't be buying these particular strings at $5/set unless i specifically needed them right away.

For the strings that i use, i generally know which brands are more (or less) expensive than others; i'm including that info in my reviews where it's relevant (to me).
I did go through and post price/date information because it's useful as a "snapshot", but this isn't something i plan on trying to keep updated!

I shop online and i shop at the Guitar Center.  I also go out of my way to make purchases at some of the local stores around here.
