| Am i the right entertainer for your venue / event?
Well... maybe - keep reading! * I'm not the guy who
gets all serious doing songs about my girlfriend, my feelings, a
butterfly or whatever. I think i just lack the sensitivity for it.
> I do play some slower and prettier material, but i limit this to
no more than 3 songs or less per set. This gives the sets some
contrast without becoming boring for people (and for me!).
* I don't do medleys (Beatles or otherwise) and i definitely
stay away from the typical acoustic guitar standards like Blackbird,
Margaritaville, Dead or Alive, Alison, etc. In fact i don't limit
myself to so-called "acoustic songs" at all.
> I go out of my way to chose a variety of songs that will appeal to
the diverse tastes of the audience. I'm not there to make the 1 or
2 Beatles fanatics in the crowd happy; my goal is to try and give as
many people as possible something that they really enjoy hearing, and a
dynamic set is the best way to do this.
* I don't drink while working, i don't curse at family-oriented
events, i don't take myself too seriously, i don't (often) tell bad
jokes; and i've never had a jealous girlfriend show up and get
all rowdy at one of my acoustic shows [knock on wood]. I
keep my political and religious views to myself while performing,
because who needs to hear that when they're out trying to have a good
time?!
* I don't use drum machines, looper pedals or pre-recorded
background music. I'm just a guy who sits there banging it out on
an acoustic guitar with a yellow pick and a brass slide.
* Oakland, Macomb,
Lapeer, St. Clair and Wayne counties
* Available noon, evening and night
* Pro equipment including PA (about 30 min
to set up; 20 to tear down & clear out)
* I'm as loud or quiet as the gig requires or that the owner/manager
prefers
* Can do as little as 2 45-minute sets (Happy Hour!) or as much
as 3 60-minute sets |
